The only way to really start a business is to do it.

As the great Yoda said, “Do or do not. There is no try.”

Sitting around dreaming about it never made anyone a millionaire. Start at the beginning. Find your product or service and then get it out there. Many entrepreneurs start by finding a need and quickly satisfying it.

Many people ask how does one get started? Where is the magical sign in the sky saying, “This is your opportunity!”

Life doesn’t work that way. You have to grab the opportunities that present themselves and jump in. The fear of the “unknown and what if” is the most debilitating one. I have heard countless people retell the story of the big business fish that got away. “If I’d only bought then”…or “if I’d known then.”

You can’t live in regret. It will eat you alive. So when the opportunity presents itself: take it. It is your life to live. The braver you are the bigger your success will be.

Find a need and produce something to satisfy that need. Whatever it may be. A guy in South Africa started shipping chicken’s feet to Portugal. During a holiday there he discovered chicken’s feet are a delicacy in that corner of Europe and he made a fortune by buying the chicken “offal” and shipping it to the eager Portuguese.

The game is waiting to be played. It’s your choice. Always.

So make a choice and start a business. Change as needed and flourish and prosper. And have fun.
