Entrepreneur comes from the French; entreprendre meaning to undertake. That is the separating factor between an entrepreneur and a drone. A drone will do what it is instructed to do, but will be lost without orders. The entrepreneur will move heaven and earth if he believes in something. It is his unstoppable passion that ensures his path on the way to wealth. No undertaking will be too great.
One of the tests is to determine whether you routinely see opportunities where others see problems. Rather than feeling defeated when you encounter roadblocks to your goals, you may feel energized. Challenges spur you on rather than deter you.
A great Shakespeare quote I like: “Our doubts are traitors, and make us lose the good we might oft win, by fearing to attempt.”
Giving in to doubt, or a setback or three, will result in complete failure. Keeping the ability to adapt to one’s situations and the knowledge that persistence will realise the goals one has set, is imperative. The spirit of the entrepreneur is the ability to rise to the occasion, every time, no matter what.
