Find Your Strength

Personal freedomEvery person has their own brand of talent. You’re great at something; you just may not have found it yet. To attain personal freedom you have to have the courage to dare to achieve your dreams. Most of us put our own obstacles in the way, either consciously or subconsciously. We say to ourselves “it can’t be” or “I could never do that” or even “if I try that, I will fail”.

It’s really a mental game. Can you stay positive through adversity?

That’s the trick. In the military, the key to survival is keeping morale up. According to survival expert, Bear Grylls, it’s one of the biggest contributing factors to getting through a potentially life threatening situation. Whether that means you make the journey fun or huddle by a cheery fire is up to you.

Hopefully it’s both. But the point is that high spirits and staying positive in ANY situation is the key to surviving.

For some reason the world we live in is geared so that when your spirits fail you, you fail.

So the answer is…never give up.

Persevere, no matter what the odds stacked against you are and you will achieve success.  Just thinking about this brings to mind an old cartoon I saw – there was a picture of a stork with a frog in its mouth. The frog had its little front arms locked around the birds’ throat, reaching from out of the bird’s mouth and the caption read, “Never give up.”

You can do anything you choose. So choose to be successful, happy and healthy. It really is that simple.

Your gold mine may be right under your nose

achieve sucessAfter a tragedy in which a friends’ pet died, due to food contamination from imported Chinese dog food, a smart businesswoman realized that there was a gap in the market for a dog friendly restaurant/deli.
After developing all the food from scratch, using organic pulses and grains mixed with only free range chicken and natural ingredients, she began to market it. A year later she employs ten people and enjoys a booming business, while making sure all her beloved furry friends are healthy and their tails are wagging.

Another woman who had been in the fashion industry was “stuck at home being a housewife” and after her second child decided to turn her experience and design ideas to a new product line. Now her kids-wear range is stocked in a major chain of stores.

Per ardua ad astra. Through difficulty to the stars! They are strong independent modern women and they are finding their rightful place in the world.  They took what they knew and made their life into their business and were able to achieve success. Genius.

To Achieve Success Reach Out to Everyone You Can

Achieve sucessIn years gone by it was far easier to get a job. If you’re just entering the marketplace fresh out of school it may seem more than daunting, but you have your youth and vigor on your side. Your self confidence will dictate your success or failure. But what do you do if you are older and have been laid off?

Well, the way to achieve success is actually the same. According to Tony Beshara, the number-one placement and recruitment specialist in the U.S. , you have to make changing your circumstances a job in itself.  That’s great advice, no matter what country you live in.  You could live in Timbuktu and it still rings true.

But, I say start your own business and create your own wealth. Sitting around waiting to be hired is not an option. Times are harder than they were, but that just means we have to step up and make our own future.

Nobody ever got anything done sitting around waiting for others to come to them. It’s a big world out there. Get out into it and carve a place for yourself. There’s always room for one more. That’s the beauty of our modern world. If you succeed it benefits everyone. Start your own business. And then call everyone you know.

That’s right. Everyone. If you are out of work and need to get money in, then it’s time to start the shot gun approach. Besides, your winning attitude and undaunted spirit won’t keep you down for long.

A very successful entrepreneur in the luxury remodeling construction business is currently enjoying a boom time, even in a recession, because his business is supported because his product is so good and he gets the job done on time and on budget. He started his business a few years ago with $500, now he employs over 50 people.
Learn from your mistakes, be prepared, be ready for anything and most of all keep the fun alive. Don’t take it too seriously or you are dead in the water.

Reach out.  You can achieve success.

Achieving Success in Tough Times

Polaris AU- Blog #3

So what’s the answer to getting through tough times? Is it tightening our belts a notch? Is it drinking one less beer with the boys?  Or is it just having fun and making your dreams come true? We believe that it’s a big part of the formula for success in this or any time.

The fun aspect takes away the seriousness of the game. Suddenly it all seems possible.

That may sound too simple, but it’s the truth. When you don’t work for a big company and you don’t rely on someone else for your pay check, you’re free.

You might think that job security is what you should aim for, but as we’ve seen in the last year even that can disappear in a heartbeat.

The only real security you ever have is your own ability and the self-confidence to make it on your own. Then you have the freedom to grow and be passionate about your business and your clients.

When it’s your business then the money you make is yours. And maybe it’s not as hard as you thought it would be. It all starts with self-confidence.

Remember: Customers don’t care how hard you worked, only whether you solved their problems.

So have fun, inspire others and in turn they will inspire you to achieve success and reach undreamed of heights.
